Fundraising with Chris Cutrone
I am proud to be doing my part in the fight against Alzheimer's Disease, and serving as a member of the Darrell K Royal Research Fund Legacy Council is an honor.
Alzheimer's Disease has greatly affected our family as my father, Lee David Cutrone Jr.(pictured here), was diagnosed with early onset at the age of 57.
My father was my hero, my mentor, the leader of our family. He was kind, gentle, giving, worldly and loved to have fun. He did so much for those he loved, and it's been difficult for all of us to see his golden years robbed from him as he has now reached the very severe stage of this disease at 66.
Many of you knew my father, and what an amazing man he was. He loved people and people loved him. Whatever he did in life, he forged lifelong friendships from his experiences.
He excelled in athletics as a high school quarterback for East Fairmont, was a member of the TBI fraternity at Fairmont State College, earned a Masters of Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and traveled with friends in Europe while studying abroad in Switzerland.
He served his country honorably when he was drafted into the Army during Vietnam, completed Officer Candidate School and achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
Wherever he went, people were attracted to his leadership and placed their trust in him. His work ethic was admired and led him into a successful career in international banking, taking him all over Latin America, Europe and the world while working for such notable institutions as PNC and ABN AMRO.
Lee Cutrone was a visionary, and he instilled a love of culture and heritage into me. This was a great man, just like Coach Royal, the most successful coach in Longhorn football history who succumbed to Alzheimer's Disease in 2012.
I ask that you join me in this noble effort against this horrible disease by making a generous donation in my father's name to the Darrell K Royal Research Fund for Alzheimer's Disease.
Thank you, and God Bless.
Christopher Lee Cutrone
