Fundraising with Jonathan Worbington
Alzheimer’s is a serious disease affecting millions of people each day and that number continues to grow. By committing to help fight diseases like Alzheimer’s, through the funding of research, we have a chance to leave a legacy for generations to come.
Jonathan was born and raised in McAllen, Texas before leaving the Valley in 1997 to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a B.A. in Government in 2001. While working towards his undergraduate degree at the University, Jonathan was active in the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, served as President of the University of Texas Ducks Unlimited Chapter and devoted time to community involvement activities around the Austin area. Jonathan furthered his education at the University of Texas School of Law where he earned a J.D. in 2005. Upon graduating from law school, Jonathan moved to Houston and began practicing law in the Energy/Oil and Gas sector, which eventually lead to Jonathan starting his own firm, Worbington Law Firm, PLLC, in September 2016.
Jonathan shares a love for the University of Texas and all things Burnt Orange with his two sisters, also graduates of the University of Texas at Austin, and his parents who taught Jonathan the meaning of hard work and the importance of helping others. Jonathan previously served as the Texas Exes Houston Chapter Board President and current serves as a Texas Exes Chapter Advisory Board Member, 1883 Council Member, Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation- Stewards of the Wild Houston Chapter Member, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Breeders Greeters Committee Member, CCA Central Houston Chapter Committee Member and Walnut Bend Home Association Vice- President. In addition to serving on the above mentioned organizations and committees, Jonathan has also participated in the MS 150 bike ride between Houston and Austin and refereed several past Houston Blondes vs. Brunettes Flag Football games.
